    Unanswered: Schema name length

Is there a restriction on the length of a schema name in Oracle 9i? What is the maximum allowable length?

I am making calls from ProC and what appears to be happening is that Oracle is accessing the shared pool for the another schema on the same database (there are 4 schemas currently on this database). The username/password is correct. This is an intermittent problem that seems only to occur when the shared pool begins to fill up with entries from the various schemas and the ProC/Oracle identifies the incorrect schema.

Maximum schema name length is 30 bytes.

Check this document to read more about schema objects naming rules.
