    Unanswered: error while sql loading

    I am getting this error in the log file while I was trying to sqlload a file.
    "second enclosure string not present".

    I did search in google but I didnt understand anything.

    can you please help me out?

    No, because my crystal ball is broken & you have not supplied any meaningful information; like sample input data, contents of control file & actual command issued.

    The infile is having value as follow

    "Is this right? Minutes say
    approved DD
    09/08/05 Same as Signal Pathing II - Remove per Andrea K."


    In the infile, it should be as follows
    ""Is this right? Minutes say approved DD 09/08/05 Same as Signal Pathing II - Remove per Andrea K."
    Then I will not get any error. It is going into new line intead of staying into the same line as in the infile the value of the column is present in the newline.

    Did you understand What I mean?

    you can do this using clauses
    CONCATENATE or CONTINUEIF

    I never used them so try to find some examples on internet (using google) or search this forum, maybe somebody already posted it.
