Unanswered: passing parameters from a form to a query

How do you out pass a parameter from a form to a query? I used the [forms]![myformname]![myformfield] but it doesn't work.

The attached document contains my database design. In FORM_TRADE, I will run query QUERY1 once I click the update button, but it keeps asking me for parameters in the query.

    Thanks

    Look query FORM_TRADE, or TRADE_FORM.

The name of your form is FORM_TRADE. But in your query you have it named TRADE_FORM. The second problem is the name of the control. The name of your control is Update1. So the information for your query field should read as follows.

Hope this helps, I myself am a newbie.

    [Forms]![FORM_TRADE]![Update1]
