Unanswered: Save an Excel start-up macro w/o it running
I have written a bit of code, when you open an excel spreadsheet it runs a macro to extract data produced daily. This has been set up on a schedule task. Once complete, it saves that file in another location and sends out an e-mail with the link to the file. Now this is the problem, when everyone on the mail list opens that file, it then proceeds to run that macro, hence locking up their machines for upto 20 minutes.
Please could someone tell me a way around this, so the schedule task can run daily and this can be saved in another location, so whoever opens it don't trigger the macro's to run?
