Unanswered: Creating a control in a subreport

i want to create a label in a subreport in a report.

currently in using "Set ctl = CreateReportControl(rpt.Name, acLabel, acDetail, "", Str(cntOccurance), (intLabelX), intLabelY, 100, 100)" to create a label control in a report.

But how do i put it in a subreport?

Just using the Label control in the ToolBox won't work for you?

I'm assuming that the label is created on the fly. Something I've not done before, but an interesting approach none the less.

I'd suggest either using that code within the sub report itself (called as a public function?) You may be able to refer to the sub report if you know its objectname in the parent report.

I have cetyainly set values in sub report label & text boxes and called fucntions
