Unanswered: Report not updating in real time

I have placed a button on a forms page that will use a query filter and then bring up a report. The report works fine but I'm having problems with the report updating to the latest data. If I make changes to the data in the form, go out of the form and back in the report works fine. It appears the report isn't taking the latest information but perhaps the last saved information. Any help would be great
    Thanks
    Rob

    Add the line

    docmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord

    before

    docmd.openreport "your report"

where does the report get it's data?
(normal answers would be from a query or from a table with the occasional exception to pickup a title or similar from an open form)
if your report is not reporting table/query data, what is it reporting?

assuming you are reporting query/table data...

if data isnt in the table
-then it cant be found by the query (if you are using one)
--and, with or without a query, it wont show in the report

so YES: you need to save your new/edited data before it will be reported.

its so long since i used bound forms that i haven't a clue what methods are available for causing a save, but quitting/reopening the form seems to be an extreme and undesireable mechanism!
maybe someone from bound-world will come up with a suggestion for forcing a save.
