    Unanswered: choose column 2 value

    Hi,
In the form of the MS ACcess,

I created a combox, the dropdown list show 2 columns, everytime when I click it, it input the first column value, where can I edit for input the column 2 value.

    eg. NBA, 0203949
    DHL, 8494949

    if I click DHL, 8494949
then it input the DHL, I want to input the number, but I don't want to exchange the position of the DHL and 8494949, because I know that
    if I exchange like this
    8494949, DHL

then it can input the number, but I don't want that position.

    Please let me know, thanks.

I would make a little continuous forms subform to replace your combobox.

Reference the column that holds the value you want in the ComboBox:

    =[JobID].Column(2)

In this case, Column(2) refers to the second column that hold the Job Name which corresponds with the JobID in column(0). Remember, it's zero based, meaning it starts counting at (0) or Zero from the left column going to the right.

If you are refering to the value that is to be stored in the table your form is bound to, just change the bound column value in the combo box properties to 2.

I changed the bound column to 2.

I think the value is using column 2, but it still show the column 1. Because I use the combox to do filter, and I am sure the data is in the form, I used bound column 1, it does filter and get result, when I change to 2 in bound column, then it does NOT filter, meaning it use column 2 value, right. But, the box is still show the column 1 value.
How can I display the column 1 value?

    Thanks.
