Wink Unanswered: [DB2 Mvs] describe alternative

I can't use 'describe' command on mvs shell and I don't remember the SQL statement that get the types and dimension of columns... Have you any idea?

There is a DB2-Catalog-Table called sysibm.syscolumns, which can be used:_

type "select tbcreator, tbname, name, colno, coltype, length, scale .....
from sysibm.syscolumns where tbcreator = 'yourtabcreator' and tbname
    = 'yourtabname' order by colno"

describe works with a select statement:
    not ok: describe table T1
ok: describe select * from T1

unfortunately some very handy features from LUW (list tables and stuff) does not exist on z/OS ...
