Unanswered: Export part of a table

Sorry to flood the forum, but I have another question. Is it possible to just export part of a table? Like select a few hundred rows and export to a csv file? I tried this, but it seemed to want to export the whole table, not just the selection. Say I write a query, is there any way to export those results to a csv file?

Yup, the exact same way you would export a table...
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

One time? Copy and paste to Excel and then save as csv

Select the records manually to copy and paste, select the entire table to copy and paste and delete the records you don't need from Excel or write a query and then copy and paste the query results to Excel.
    have fun!

I don't have access to Excel.

If I highlight the desired rows and hit export, it will only export the selection?

No. hitting export while looking at a table will always export the entire table.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

So exporting the results of the query will give me the csv file? Is that what you meant?

Yup, that's it. Exporting a query will export the result you would get when the query is run much the same way exporting a table gives you the whole table. Just try it.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
