Unanswered: Oracle 9i on HP-UX using Itanium

    Hi All,

I am planning to install Oracle 9i on a Hp-UX server using the Itanium processor and running HP-UX v11i. Is there a separate binaries of oracle 9i on Itanium. Is oracle 9i supported on itanium?

I checked the oracle website and there was only one set of oracle 9i binaries for HP-UX. However, there was a separate set of binaries of oracle 10g for itanium processor.

    Any help appreciated.

Hi I just heard you found the binaries for Oracle 9i coded for the Itanium line of servers.

Can you be so kind and point me to them? And, did you find the install guide?

    Thank you.

Binaries for Oracle 9i on Itanium

    Hi there,

The binaries are on the oracle website and its a set of 3 gzip files. If you connect to oracle website and click on download and follow the options to download older releases of the database you should be able to download the binaries. Needless to say, you will have to be a registered user to get accesss.

The installation process is the same as like on any other UNIX OS.

    Good luck.

Let me know if you need any further help
