Unanswered: Subform (go to new record)

    Hi,

I have a form, which have one subform,

I created a button for go to new record in the subform "vendor"

    Vendor is a subform.

    DoCmd.GoToRecord acDataForm, "Vendor", acNewRec

But, it has error: "The object "Vendor" is not open.

I'm new to Access but was curious about your question so I searched it on the internet to see what I would find. In another forum I found someone with the same question you had and his problem was with the relationship between his tables.

I've had this same experience where I think there's a problem with my syntax, or something else, when it was a simple problem with my table relationship.

This probably won't help you, but just in case I thought I'd post my two cents worth.

Sorry, forgot to mention - one of the things someone suggested to try was

    DoCmd.GoToRecord acDataForm, "Forms!mainForm!subForm", acNewRec
