Unanswered: formatting oracle date for display.

I have an oracle date being sent to my asp page. by default it appears as 112656900000.
In the database, it appears as 13-SEPT-2005 120000AM.
How do convert this to display something like Sept 13, 2005 in ASP?
Please and thanks.

To show a date like July 25, 2005:

<%= MonthName(Month(MyDate)) %> <%= Day(MyDate) %>, <%=Year(MyDate) %>

Oracle Date

That doesn't seem to work.
Getting the error:

Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A000D)
Type mismatch: '[string: "1058400000000"]'
/issueview/test.asp, line 6

The code looks like:
<%= MonthName(Month("1058400000000")) %> <%= Day("1058400000000") %>, <%=Year("1058400000000") %>
