Angry Unanswered: Actions for custom menu bar

I need to replace the menu bar for Access. I created the layout properly using the toolbar/menubar wizard adding appropriate menus, submenus and custom items. How in the MS world do you associate a VB sub procedure (or macro to run code) to these custom menus?

I tried clicking on the custom menu, while the toolbar wizard is opened-- right click on the custom menu and pick properties, and adding macro and function names to the "On action" property.

What (as in WTF) am I missing?

can't promise you it is the only way, or even that it is the correct way.

i build my menus as you have done and then make a module (wittily called "MenuHandler" in my case, but anything will do).

then a bunch of PUBLIC sub mnuXYZ (for my convenience only, i use the shortcut key sequence for the XYZ, but anything will do)

then stick your equivalent of my mnuXYZ in the OnAction box

... it should fly from there.

    Thanks- that was quite simple!

I guess after struggling with online help and the web searches, I was trying to complicate it, or that's the way it just worked out to be. Until you set me straight.

    Kudos for Izy!
    Thanks again.
