    Unanswered: Table field data validation.

Within my table, there are two fields I want to set some sort of validation. I want to set some criteria whereby if one field has data, it is impossible to input data into the other - any ideas anyone? Cheers.

use SQL server or another DB package that allows for similar validation / triggers

Failing that implement your validation in forms / business logic. But then you aren't allowing your users to to direct table edits, are you?

What's the application for this process? Would it be possible to do this assigning a category or type id to one field instead of using two? Sometimes it's not possible, just a thought.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
