    Wink Unanswered: Beginner Questions!

I'm trying to create a database in ms access to link to our company's website but don't really know where to start, so here are a couple questions (for now):

    1. Text fields can only hold 255 characters...is there any way around this or is it just the way it has to be?

    2. Is there's no way around Q.1, is there a validation code that will halt the characters once they have reached 255 characters?

I will need to put a few together to make enough space for our adverstisements (not very professional but meh!).

If there are any general tips you can give me to simplify the process of linking the database to the page, that'd be great!

    As above memo fields.

You might even want to look at using a mySQL database instead of Access.

I've nothing against Access, but mySQL does seem to work a bit better with web base applications (I'd suggest using .net to build the pages if you've got the technology available.)
