    Google for sql20241

    Check your db2diag.log

But mentioning your db2 client and server versions may have helped to guess the problem

    drop table

is it a local or remote table or nickname ?
what target platform ? local platform : aix ?
what about authority - can you select from this table - do you have control authority on this table ?

SQL20241 in short is 'writing history file entry failed':

So you might have an authorization problem. Platforms and Versions would be good to know as well. Also file system might be full.

Solutions: disable 'dropped table recovery' for the tablespace if you don't care
