    Unanswered: SQLLDR: Log File direction

How do I place a specific location in a ctl file read by sqlldr.
I want the log file to go to a specific directory.
    I've tried:
    [xxxxxx]
    LOAD DATA
    [xxxxxx]
    BADFILE 'C:\SAMPLEBAD'
    [xxxxxx]
    TRUNCATE
    INTO MYTABLE
    (ETC)
    [xxxxx]

I have tried placing LOGFILE 'c:\mylogs' in each of the [xxxxx] areas and keep getting assorted error messages.

    Any ideas?????

I might be wrong, but I *think* that the log file is to be specified either in the command line or as a part of the parameter file, NOT in the control file. Check the SQL*Loader command line reference for more info.

If you type SQLLDR without parameters you will get a list of "valid keywords". The one for log file generation is simply "log"... try using that. It should work.
