    Unanswered: memo field query

I'm having problems with producing my report , which displays the contents of a memo field.

I have looked at my table to make sure that the data is still there it is, I have had a look at the data , which is returned by the query (at query level) and it appears to have only returned a max number of characters.

Is there a limit of how many characters a select query can return??

I want to return all characters that are entered into the memofield.

any help on the above would be appreicated.

    thanks

Perhaps you have entered carriage return or new lines, therefor you don't see the lines after these carriage return....
Try to test it, by entering texts without carriage return..

How are you doing this query? QBE? Stored? VBA? On the fly?

AFAIK, there is no restriction on column return size ... EXCEPT if you're pullling or pushing something in Excel ... Then memo fields are limited to 255 chars (text type column limit).

In all of my queries that pull memos (and I have MANY of them), I've not yet had an artificial cutoff ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
