Question Unanswered: using replicas of master db

does anyone have any pro or cons for using the replica feature in the database. I figure it will work for me in my problem of 4 departments in 56 locations, and some not able to access the server.

Put a link from your other thread to this one, so people can follow the thread, could be usefull....

The pro of using synchronized replicas is fairly obvious: portability. It is the first logical choice when dealing with collecting offline data. It starts to become trickier when one tries to implement it. The major con of synchronizing data in Access is you have to do all of it by hand. There is no such thing as access database clustering, push-pull subscriptions etc. You have to code it all from scratch. The most annoying part of synchronization is re-keying entries. that drives me insane. I can't stand changing primary keys for love nor money, but I'll do it for the enough of the latter.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
