    Unanswered: Multiple files in 1

    ok here is my delima:

    Say I have a file #6 and then there is a second part to this I want to be called 6A then a 6B and so on. So 6, 6A, and 6B all have the same information. When I pull up file 6 I want ot see all 3 of these. What would be the best way to do this.

    file? what kind of file? What do you mean by "pulling up" said files? How are they related? What kind of information do the store? How are you displaying them?

    Perhaps add a subtable for when there are extra parts? Or perhaps just add some extra fields to the main table that only get used sometimes?

    if they all have the same information, why do you need all 3 together?

    Don't know if this might help at all as it could pull up 6 as well as 6A or 6B all the way up to a number followed by a Z:

    strSQL = "SELECT * FROM MyTable WHERE (Filename = '" & varFilename & "') OR (Filename LIKE '" & varFilename & "'[A-Z]')"
