    Unanswered: Formatted text in a column;

    Hi All ,

    Is it possible to insert the below text into a column and retrieve it in the same format ?

    u will need to take care of the formatting in the front end.

    Well, strictly speaking you CAN do the formatting on the back end. What harshall means is that you SHOULD do the formatting on the front end.

    Formatting is a presentation issue and does not fall within the scope of a database server.

    Read up on the datetime datatype and how it is stored in Books Online.
    If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.
