    Unanswered: EXPORT all but one table?

    Is there a simple way to exclude one (and only one) table from an EXPORT and/or IMPORT script?

    I have over 200 tables and I want to Export them all except one.

    list all of the tables except the one you don't want exported.
    (this can easily be done using dynamic sql to list all the tables, etc.)
    or
    export ALL tables but only import the ones you want.

    You can create a parameter file. FIrst list all your tables:

    set heading off
    select decode( rownum, 1, 'tables=(', ',' ), table_name
    from user_tables
    union all
    select ')', null
    from dual ;

    ----

    Then cut the 1 table name out of the list

    ----

    Then create a parameter file export_options.par

    compress=n
    direct=n
    buffer=1000
    tables=(tablea, tableb, tablec ........)
    userid=scott/tiger

    -------

    Then run it

    exp parfile=export_options.par
