Unanswered: oracle startup script for windows

    Hi all,

I have this oracle startup script in windows that essentially does the following:

    set ORACLE_SID=xxxx
    start service
    sqlplus "/ as sysdba" @startup.sql

    In startup.sql is just STARTUP

However, it is not starting the database. The service starts, but the database wont' start. Any clues?

It appears that you may have an improper registry setting or you may have a bad service. That's, actually, a conclusion of this article which will perhaps help you solve the problem.
