Question Unanswered: Columns_updated + Ms Access

Does access have the ability to use COLUMNS_UPDATED? If not is there anything like this in access? I need to know if users go into a table and make changes. Thnx in advance.

MS_ACCESS is an interface / front end
In its default guise the data store it uses is JET which has no intrinsic ability to to identify what has been changed. the closet you come in native JET is a timestamp which could identify something was written to the tables at a specific point in time

you can however fake it using an audit trail/log in the forms(s) that yiou are interested in. But it falls apart if you allow users to make direct table edits, as theese are not handled within the forms environment.

there are several threads on audit rails within this forum which may be of interest to you.
