    Unanswered: Access 2003 Database Security

    Hello,

Is there anyway of deleting a user from the users group of a workgroup without using the security manager within Access 2003 and instead using VBA code, thank you.

I know how to add users to the users group of the workgroup through the use of VBA code, now just have to work out how to delete them!

it would make more sense to ask this question on the Access forum. However you can successfully add, change or delete virtually anything within an Access workgroup using the appropriate methods (either in DAO or ADO). The only word of caution - if you are making changes programtically then its possible to delete all users and administrators out of a workgroup, and make the applicaiton using htose workgroups useless. You cna recover if you are using an MDB (the design data can be recovered) but you may not be able to do so with an MDE.

thank you, i wasn't sure if it could be done without using a horrible "send keys" option to override the users control of the security administration dialogue.

    once again, thank you.
