    Unanswered: which session heavy load

Have someone an idea how we can determine the sessions with the most I/O on the server ?
We have generallly about 800 sessions and sometimes somebody is doing heavy load on the database. I think depending on the criteria he invoked in the appli. The checkpoints are raising from 0 seconds to 5, 6 seconds.
How to determine which sql ??
environment is AIX with IDS 7.31

    Thanks a lot,
    Yves

    Hi,

You can check the output of onstat -u and sort it on the column nreads/nwrites.
Also you can run the query

    select syssesprof.sid,
    isreads,
    iswrites,
    isrewrites,
    isdeletes
    from syssesprof, syssessions
    where syssesprof.sid = syssessions.sid

    and use the desc order.

    Bye

Question Sessions with the most I/O

    Hi Yves,

Will the locks, nreads and nwrites columns of onstat -u do the job for you? If it does then use the sessid column and check out what's going on with onstat -g ses sessid

    Regards,

    Plumas
