    Unanswered: Setting and saving defaultvalue

    I've got a form, in which there are a few buttons and a simple textbox containing a defaultpath... if this textbox's value is changed, I want the defaultvalue to be set to this value..

    Pretty much like this:

    Code:
        txt_kopierfordel_sti.DefaultValue = txt_kopierfordel_sti
        DoCmd.Save acForm, "Dokumenter og stier"
    but beats me if that works.... cuz it doesn't

    How do I manage?

    default value of what?
    I'm not even sure you cna set a controls default value on the fly.
    What may be better is to store that value in a table, or even a file (on a netwroked drive in the same place as the data)
    I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

    Well, I have made the assumption, that changing the defaultvalue is possible, as changing the caption of a textbox, the size and the color of text is in fact possible.. so why shouldn't changing a defaultvalue be possible?

    But you are right, doing it through a table would be better... but it'll become one heck of a table in my particular case, so I was hoping that the easy way - here habits hit me again - was possible.

    Cheers, Trin
