Unanswered: Returning a Datasheet from user specified SQL

Hi, hope someone can help me.

I have an Access 2002 Project connecting to an MS SQL Server 2000 backend database part of which contains a form allowing users to build an SQL statement by either typing it or using a bunch of selectors to pick from allowed views and fields.

What I want to do is take the SQL String that has been built and return the records in a datasheet.

For example if the user types: Select Surname, Forename, Title, Postcode from Addresses where Surname = 'Smith'
I want to return simply the fields specified and the rows that met the criteria.

Anyone got any ideas how I can achieve this?

Create a temporary query OBJECT on the fly, then open it.
