    Angry Unanswered: Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors

    Hi, I have a problem that I can not connect to an oracle database from a C#.Net program the thing is that from the same program I do connect to a SQLServer.

    Oracle give this error:

    “Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.”

    The connections string that I use are:

    “Provider=SQLOLEDB;Initial Catalog=MCEADataBase;Data Source=DLTSQL01;Integrated Security=SSPI;”

    “Provider=MSDAORA;Initial Catalog=DATAWAR;Data,1521 ;Integrated Security=SSPI;”

    In both cases I do the connection using:

    myConnection = new OleDbConnection(connString);

    By the way, I do not have installed any Oracle cliend just the .Net framework and the Visual Studio :Net

    I appreciate any help.

    AFAIK, the Oracle client s/w is required.
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
