Unanswered: Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors
Hi, I have a problem that I can not connect to an oracle database from a C#.Net program the thing is that from the same program I do connect to a SQLServer.
Oracle give this error:
“Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.”
The connections string that I use are:
“Provider=SQLOLEDB;Initial Catalog=MCEADataBase;Data Source=DLTSQL01;Integrated Security=SSPI;”
“Provider=MSDAORA;Initial Catalog=DATAWAR;Data Source=dora001pre.docaixat.caixatarragona.net,1521 ;Integrated Security=SSPI;”
In both cases I do the connection using:
myConnection = new OleDbConnection(connString);
By the way, I do not have installed any Oracle cliend just the .Net framework and the Visual Studio :Net
I appreciate any help.

AFAIK, the Oracle client s/w is required.You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
