    Unanswered: Generating A PO based on Julian Date

    Numerous ways it can be done ... Easiest would be to have a table with each "julian" day with another column for the "Next PO number" ... You can set this up to generate automatically thru code ( creating each row at the stroke of midnight for example) ...

    My only problem is that this scheme artificially restricts you to only 100 PO's per day ... I don't know if that is a problem or not ...

    I know for me that that would not fly ... Sometimes I have a couple hundred PO's issued on a given day ...
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
