Question Unanswered: How to create a table in Oracle automatically prior to a insert into command

    Hi,

I wonder if it is possible in Oracle to create automatically a table prior using the insert into statement such like (SQL Server):

    select * into new_table from (select * from existing_table)

why do you want to automatically create the table? If it is for a temp table check out global temp tables which will save you the effort.

    Hi,

It's not for a temp table but just for a simple copy instruction.
    Thanks, ik works.

    Rgds,

    Wim
