    Question Unanswered: How to collect statistics of global index for a partionned table by range

    Are the global indexes statistics collected for a partitionned table by range
    if we use this script

    exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats ('Myschema', 'Mytable', 'P_My_table_200503' , 10,FALSE, 'for all indexed columns', 4, 'default', TRUE , null, null, null,false );

    or using this script

    ('Myschema', 'Mytable', 'P_My_table_200503' , 10,FALSE, 'for all indexed columns', 4, 'partition', TRUE , null, null, null,false );

    Thanks for your reply

    YES.
    What's preventing you from running them yourself & seeing what happens?
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
    The average person thinks he's above average!
    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
