    Unanswered: calculated fields?

    Is it possible to store a calculated field on a form as a result in a table?

    If so How????

    dur!! i've worked it out... thats what setvalue macros are for

    sometimes i'm just so close to the project i cant see whats right infront of me!

    Now comes the tough question, why do you want to store a calculated field?
    oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

    I know, its a bit unusual!

    I have a number of students who might be on different degree courses and in different year groups. Its basically so I can print out lists of students on a module regardless of what stage of their degree as sometimes there are first years and second years doing the same module. Its basically just to simplify creating some reports.

    Honestly there is some method to my madness!

    I see, so how often are you going to run these calculations to keep up with any changes that might take place?

    Perhaps it would be easier to do the calculation at the time of the report using a query...
