    Unanswered: Oracle SQL exam?

It's been hard pinning down exactly what exams have to be taken first, but from what I've seen, you have to take an Oracle SQL exam and a DBA fundamentals exam to get the OCA certification, right?

What study materials do you recommend for the Oracle SQL exam? Sorry if this has been posted before.

There are different exam tracks (i.e., DBA, developer, App Server Admin, etc.) Which track are you persuing?

The requirements are different in 9i and 10g. With 9i, almost everyone starts with the 1Z0-007 "Introduction to Oracle 9i SQL". If you are already 9i certified and want to upgrade to 10g, then the track is again different.

    Still confused, please see http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_...age?page_id=57

I guess I'll start with 10g; I'm not certified in Oracle at all. I'm normally an MSSQL user but I don't have any certs in it either.

I found the Oracle page to be pretty confusing; lots of conflicting information. Why do they have to make it so difficult to get a straight answer?
