Unanswered: Help Needed For Access 2003

    Hi,

i am actuallu setting up a simple access file to manage inventory but facing some problem when this access file is save in a shared network so that different user can view the record at the same time but the problem is that if two users open the database at the same time if one user want to save the changes that he made to the database he will not be able to do that as the database is been open by another users... how came i overcome this issue... even when the database is open by different users i am still able to save it and reflect on the other user comp?

Check what type of Record Locking mechanism you currently have in place for your DB. Go into the menu Tools then Options. Under the Advanced tab make sure the Default Record Locking is set to Edit Record.
