comScore Networks is seeking a Data Dictionary Analyst for our New York, New York office. This self-starting, energetic person will fill a critical new need for us and be a vital member of our data dictionary and quality team.
ComScore Media Dictionaries / Data Quality WHAT WE DO:
The Dictionary groups primary function is to manage the company proprietary dictionary databases, for a leading Market Research company specializing in tracking Digital Media. The group provides comprehensive hierarchical definitions on how all Internet media are classified, allowing for competitive comparison analysis.
The Dictionary Analyst will take responsibility for running the dictionary team, fulfilling a large number of monthly client modification requests, and research client investigations all that utilize company dictionary databases.
ANY type of strong foreign language skills are a major plus!
Aggressively work within dictionary databases to produce accurate structures and timely handoffs.
Oversee the development and tracking of current database procedures and implement new standards in rules and guidelines for production efficiencies.
Support senior analysts with staff that provides data support for client deliverables, industry presentations, and/or written reports.
Ability to work under tight deadlines related to groups role in production process.
Identify and manage project issues as it relates to dictionary productions.
Work on product developments and enhancements for better quality control.
Build and structure dictionary teams to ensure maximum performance. Provide purpose, direction and motivation to team. Clarify and communicate project objectives and success criteria. Ensure a positive, collaborative work environment for the team. Mentor and coach project team members, as appropriate.
Responsible for ongoing client and company satisfaction and trainings.
We are seeking a leader who is enthusiastic about working and learning about market research.
BS Degree in Business/MIS, Market Research, Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
Essential experience in Internet environment.
Must have experience working with databases and SQL skills, comfortable working with proprietary databases.
Must be highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects.
Must be fluent in creating project plans and managing to them.
Must have excellent teamwork skills as well as be self-directed.
Must have the ability to work independently and manage communications up and down.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Strong mentoring skills.
Market Research industry experience a major plus.
