Talking Unanswered: Dialog box for a query

Tinkering around with Access again for work, and I need a little help

I have query that ask for a PC number, what I would like to happen if the record is not found is for a Dialog box to pop up saying PC not found would you like to search again or enter new record.

so if the user said enter new record it would stop the query and open up a form?

This is big project for, I have limited knowledge on Access, more of a techi, so will be searching for a lot help in the coming weeks.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks for your suggestions, I have used the like statement in the criteria, what I want it to do though is to produce a popup message saying

    "Record not found"
"Search again Cancel Create New Record"

    Is this possible?
