Question Unanswered: limiting editing by columns in data access pages

I have a access database that we use to track ordering and receiving. I want to create a data access page with a pivot table for entering data in our receiving department. The only problem with this is I want to limit their ability to edit data to one of the columns in the pivot table's detail area. Is this possible? If not does anyone have a suggested solution to get the same effect. The terminal they will be using is "dumb" (ie limited machine without access installed) and they need to be able to filter records and view them, but only edit one column in the database while not being able to accidently edit others. Hope this makes sense.

I am open to other ways to do this than data access pages. I just really need to be able to allow limited access to my database on the network.
