    Unanswered: Having problem with join in syntax

    Hi

    I seem to be clueless with the following SQL Syntax. Everytime I run it I get the error:

    Syntax error in JOIN operation.
    Here's my Sytax:

    Code:
    sSQL = " SELECT emp.BArea, cc.Email" & _
           " FROM dbo_tblEmployer AS emp INNER JOIN dbo_tblCollegeContacts AS cc ON dbo_tblEmployer.Emp_ID = dbo_tblCollegeContacts.Emp_ID" & _
           " WHERE cc.Email LIKE '" & strperson & "*'" & _
           " AND emp.BArea = '" & [Forms]![frmWork_Placement]![cmboBArea] & "'"
    I'm scratching my head trying to figure this out

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Hmmmmm ... Did you try aliasing your join condition?

    I tried inner, left outer, right outer etc, and got the same error.

    I also Debug.Print and pasted the string into the query wizard, but still got the same error.

    If you alias a table, you have to use that alias everywhere...
    oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
