Unanswered: SQL Server 6.5 replication issue

Hi. We are trying to use replication across our two SQL Server 6.5 instances but we are failing to do so with following error message:
    Code:
Attempt to insert duplicate key row in object 'sb_signature_info' with unique index 'sb_signature_info_ind'Failed while bulk copying into 'sb_signature_info'.
Everytime we try to run it. Please advise, as I am no SQL Server admin and has never worked with replication under SQL Server.

    Thanks!

Can you make sure that both the publisher and the subscriber have the same sort order? In order to do this, run sp_helpsort on both machines, and compare the results.

Is this error being given on the distribution of the initial snapshot, or is it being given after the system has been happily replicating for a while?

Make sure the unique index on both the publisher table (sb_signature_info) and the subscriber table are defined the same. If they are, then see if the subscriber table has data in it from before. You may need to delete that data.
