    Question Unanswered: Sending a report as E-mail

    I want to send a report as an E-mail and it always wants to open MS Outlook. But my companies main E-mail application is Lotus Notes. How do I code it so that it points to that application?

    We use Lotus Notes and send emails from Access with no trouble. Below is a sub I use. It takes the report and recipient from list boxes. I am sure you can adapt it to suit your requirements.

    Dim strSubject As String
    Dim strRecipient As String
    Dim stDocName As String

    'Set Value of Variables
    strSubject = "Report"
    strRecipient = Me.lstRecipient
    stDocName = Me.lstReports
    'E-mail Message
    DoCmd.SendObject acReport, stDocName, "RichTextFormat(*.rtf)", strRecipient, , "", strSubject, , False, ""

    Sending email reports

    Another alternative you can look at is the Blat email program. This is an open source and fairly easy program to install and code. It bypasses you having to use the sendobject command in vba.
