Unanswered: Select from multiple database tables

We use DB2 7.2.5 . We have two databases running on same instance 'DB2'. We have a requirement to access a table of one database from another. We tried the federated database feature. Created DRDA Wrapper. But while creating Server it gave the following error.

SQL1019N The node name "DB2" specified in the command is not valid.

Any help in this regard will be much appreciated.

when defining drda wrapper you must provide existing node.
So: "list node directory" command to see which is your node.
If node doesn't exist you must create it: "create tcpip node..."

    Hope this helps,

between local databases you can define
db2 catalog local node xxx instance yy
db2 catalog db zzz at node xxx
I am not sure, but in v7 I think you need relational connect
(might not be needed between db2 as in V8.. to be verified..)
    create wrapper..
    create server ... (database zzz

    works for local instance

Thanks very much. I did the catalog for DB2 instance as suggested. After this I was able to create warpper->server.
But our test and prod env uses DB2 Hiigh Availability Clusters. The db2 instance on the test cluster 'AXISTEST' do appear when I do 'list node directory'. But the same problem while creating Wrapper -> Server. Error saying instance AXISTEST is not valid.
