    Unanswered: Top 10 Holdings

How can I write a query to just see the top 10 holdings by market value of a group of securities?

sort your query by market value and set the top values property of the query to 10

    Also:

    SELECT TOP 10 field1, field2
    FROM yourTable
    WHERE securitygroup = yourDesiredSecurityGroup
    ORDER BY yourMarketValueField DESC
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

Thanks! One more thing, what if I have more than one account, I want the top 10 holdings for each account, not the top 10 holdings among all the accounts?

Saw that one coming from 6.3 miles out...

If this is a report, do it using a subreport. If this is a form, do it using a subform.
