    Unanswered: write to application.References("myMDx").Major

    application.References("myMDB").Major
    application.References("myMDB").Minor

    are read-only within VBA.

can someone offer me an API, or some other sort of magic so that i can version a .MDB or .MDE?
even the offset in the file is enough: i can hack it with a hex-editor.

    thanks in advance.

    no reply huh?
clarification: this is not currentdb or codedb, just a library db

    Hi Izy

I believe there might be some relevent code here - but don't bother clicking - it is one of the (still) lost archives.

I'm not certain whether it includes what you are after however - the code would automate a remote access db, increment the minor and\ or major versions (as appropriate) and then do a few other funky things (including creating an mde).

Does this sound along the right path? If so - try PM\ emailing shelbygt22
