    Unanswered: ORA-12570: TNS:packet reader failure

An intermittant Oracle dblink error for an insert is occuring early in the week typically on Mondays and rarely on Tuesdays. I dont know if this is affecting the dblinks but a cold Oracle backup occurs every Sunday evening. The error occurs when a batch job runs in the morning and the evening. Mostly in the morning. The connection is between two Oracle database servers. Also a ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel error is received when the batch job fails.

What do you do to get it working again? Or, does it start working on its own after Monday morning?

You might want to post your batch job script to give us an idea of what you are trying to do...

After it generates an error it starts working again on its own after the error occurs.

    Insert code:

    insert into aaa_244.orderH_244@syse_db88

Check the alert log on the remote server for the time when the ORA-3113 error is generated. There may also be an ORA-7445 error with trace file and core dump.
