Unanswered: is it possible to define in oracle linked tables to odbc data sources

is it possible to define in oracle linked tables to odbc data sources as it is possible to do in access?
except Access and VFP, is there another database that allows to create linked tables to odbc data sources?

I need to combine in a database native tables with odbc linked tables, but it would need to use a database more powerful that access or vfp

You've asked more or less the same question in four different forums (SQL, Oracle, PostGRES and Sybase).

    What's up?

I need to discover if there is some database server with this functionality since I am immersed in a modernization legacy application project in which we need to deo queries involving query legacy data and new data (new dabase tables). The legacy data are only accessible across ODBC.
I've asked the same question in four different forums (SQL, Oracle, PostGRES and Sybase) trying to receive answers responses from experts in different database servers.

    Thanks.

The oracle heterogenious gateway, which is part of the enterprise server, allows you to define a SID which is mapped to an ODBC data source. Once that is done you can create db links to these sources. Check out the Heterogeneous Connectivity Administrator's Guide for more information.
It was working just 5 minutes ago - I promise !
