Smile Unanswered: Backup compatible for Linux DB2 and Windows

    Hi!!!
How can I do a compatible backup fro Windows and Linux?
Windows backup is different from Linux so I can't restore a schema..

The statement that I use is:

    CONNECT TO schema
    QUIESCE DATABASE IMMEDIATE FORCE CONNECTIONS
    CONNECT RESET
BACKUP DATABASE svitorow TO "/usr1/ldasdb/db2/backup/schema" WITH 1 BUFFERS BUFFER 1024 PARALLELISM 1 COMPRESS WITHOUT PROMPTING
    CONNECT TO schema
    UNQUIESCE DATABASE
    CONNECT RESET

But the result in Linux is one file (with timestamp).....

I would to use windows backup for restore in linux schema, any idea?

Windows, Linux, and UNIX DB2 backups are not compatible with eachother. The only compatible backups are within UNIX (AIX, Solaris, and HP/UX).

You will have to do db2move (which is just a way of automating exports and loads of all the data).
