I just took over an access project because my collegue has left but I really don't know a lot about access. The last guy finished phase one but now I'm required to complete phase two..please help!
Here is how the program currently works. A user enters an 8 to 14 digit part number into a textbox on a form, then the program parses the user input position by position and creates a query to search various tables to return a result to the user.
What I need to do is make it possible for the users to enter (ie paste) a list of part numbers into the text box and the program should do a "look-up" for each part number and the return the results.
My problem is that I dont know how to modify the code so that it will move to the next part number in the list all the way to the end of the list and then return the results.
Don't fully understand your question fully but seems like you are after a
query which uses wildcards to search any part of the text is that right? then,
you need a query behind with a criteria like
"*" forms!formname!textboxname "*"
Hope this helps!
