Unanswered: Export Table Data - Need help

    Hey folks,

Likely a pretty simple one here. What I am doing wrong? I want to export the contents of a single table (moving data form a live to test db)

    Windows
    Oracle 8i
I am NOT working directly on the server that the DB resides on. I do however have a TNS files on my workstation and the SID is infact IRENPROD.

    At command line:

    set ORACLE_SID=IRENPROD

    exp userid=system/password full=n tables=sales_analysis_summary owner=fin_production file=c:/filename.dmp log=c:/filename.log

I get an ORACLE-00056 Oracle Error 12560 Encountered
    TNS Protocol Adapter Error

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

Tried this one and now different msg - EXP00026 - Conflicting modes specified.

    Getting close maybe?

Thanks for the quick help. Appreciate it.

I'm still on my 1st cup of coffee. Try below.

    exp userid=system/password@IRENPROD tables=sales_analysis_summary owner=fin_production file=c:/filename.dmp log=c:/filename.log

California - You have coffee early!

Same message - although it also says "with the partitioning option". Could that have something to do with it?
