    Unanswered: Retrieving MenuBars

    Hi, really need some help here.

    While playing around with the Startup options of my ADP, I have disabled the Allow Full Menus and Allow Default Shortcut Menus.

    Now I am only able to access the form level Menu! (See attached jpeg)
    All the Menu Items like Tools are gone!

    I have tried many methods to re-enable the menu bars but to not avail.
    I believe that I will need to write some codes to re-enable the menu bar.

    Please advise.
    Any help is very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    First, enable the shiftbypass key
    ==> CurrentProject.Properties("AllowByPassKey") = True

    Then restart the application.
    When the application is loading, hold down the shift key to bypass the startup.

    From there you should be able to access the menu bars.
    Choose Tools -> Startup to "re-enable" the menu bars.

    Alternatively, you can call create the AutoExec macro to run the following code:

    Public Function myStartupProperties()
    CurrentProject.Properties.Add "AllowByPassKey", True
    CurrentProject.Properties.Add "AllowFullMenus", True
    CurrentProject.Properties.Add "AllowShortcutMenus", True
    CurrentProject.Properties.Add "AllowBuiltInToolbars", True
    end Function
